Labour introduces the Hillsborough law

After tireless campaigning by the families of The 97, I'm proud that the Hillsborough Law will be introduced in Parliament today.

The scars from scandals such as Hillsborough, Infected Blood, Post Office Horizon, Grenfell, Windrush, nuclear test veterans and others are etched into the foundations of our country.

This landmark legislation - The Public Office (Accountability) Bill - is for the families and campaigners who fought over many years for justice when the State let them down.

With this Bill, we say never again.
