Hull North MP Diana Johnson is urging Hull people support the Breast Cancer Campaign's award-winning 'Wear it Pink' day on Friday 26 October.
Taking part in 'Wear it Pink' day on 26 October, part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, could not be easier. Simply donate £2 to the Breast Cancer Campaign and wear an item of pink. Donations will allow Campaign to continue researching the cure and help the one woman in nine in the UK that will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
Last year's 'Wear it Pink' day raised a whopping £3 million for breast cancer research and helped to fund over forty new research projects in the United Kingdom. This year's aim is to raise £3.5 million.
Those wanting to help the Breast Cancer Campaign reach its target should register by either calling freephone 0800 107 3104; or visiting www.wearitpink.co.uk.
Diana Johnson MP said: "Every year over 44,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer.
"Like many others, I know people who have lost friends and family members to breast cancer. I would like to encourage everyone in Hull North and throughout the country to support 'Wear it Pink' day on 26 October to help raise valuable funds for breast cancer research."
