Safeguarding unaccompanied children

Unaccompanied asylum seeker children are going missing from hotels.

In July 2022 the Home Affairs Committee which I Chair called for an end to the unsafe practise. The Government has safeguarding responsibilities for these children, and their placement in these settings in unsuitable. 

I spoke again in Parliament calling on the Government to act and to provide a clear timeline for the ending of this practise.
