MP welcomes Government's freeze on Humber Bridge tolls

Hull North MP Diana Johnson today welcomed the Government's decision not to approve an increase in tolls for the Humber Bridge.

Diana Johnson MP said: "The Labour Government has listened to the broad coalition of local concerns about the negative impact of further increases in Bridge tolls on people and businesses in our area, especially in this recession.

"There is now further work to do to make the case for reducing or abolishing the tolls. This would boost our region's economy in the longer term."
