Local government changes under scrutiny

In a debate today Diana Johnson challenged the Secretary of State for Local Government about his lack of trust in local people.

Diana said:

"In the House of Commons today I asked Local Government Secretary Robert Jenrick why Hull and East Riding people have not been consulted in advance about permanent changes to local government that are being required by Whitehall in return for unspecified regeneration investment.
