Hull North MP Diana Johnson has joined members of Hull's Royal British Legion collecting for the annual Poppy Appeal.
Diana volunteered for a stint selling poppies at Tesco's in Hull's St Stephen's Centre last weekend.
Diana Johnson MP said: "The Poppy Appeal is an important part of the annual events to remember all those in our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for Britain's freedom and security and, indeed, those still making that sacrifice today.
"The British Legion's Poppy Appeal also raises valuable funds towards helping ex-servicemen and women. It was a privilege to help. I will be a regular supporter of the Poppy Appeal in Hull.
"I encourage Hull people to support the Poppy Appeal, and to continue supporting it after Remembrance Sunday is over. People should visit www.poppy.org.uk or ring 01482 326693 for more information on how to help this excellent cause."
Diana will also attend Hull's annual civic Remembrance ceremony on Sunday (11 November) and the service, also on Sunday, held by the Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and women.
