Hull MP attacks the unfair London bias of arts funding

Speaking today (16 October) in Culture, Media and Sport Questions in the Commons Hull North MP Diana Johnson pressed Government ministers on the unfair distribution of arts funding.

Diana Johnson MP told the Commons: "With public funding for the arts in London 15 times greater than outside the capital and Hull City Council seeing a 25% cut to its council funding during this Parliament can the Minister just explain to me how he expects Hull to deliver the national City of Culture in 2017 with these unfair funding formulas?"
