Hull MP asks why London is getting ten times the transport investment of Yorkshire and Humber

Hull North MP Diana Johnson today attacked the continuing unfair distribution of transport infrastructure investment between London and parts of the 'Northern Powerhouse'.

The latest Treasury figures showed that in 2016-17 transport infrastructure investment is £1,943 per head in London, but only £190 per head in Yorkshire and the Humber a 10 to 1 ratio.
