Hilary Benn to visit Hull

Labour's International Development Secretary Hilary Benn has accepted Diana Johnson MP's invitation to visit Hull.

Mr Benn will be in Hull on Friday 9 February and will be in involved in a number of events. The visit will conclude with a meeting entitled 'A fairer world for all' at the Goodwin Development Trust's Octagon Centre on Walker Street, from 6.30pm. The meeting will be open to all.

Diana Johnson MP said: "With this year's commemorations of William Wilberforce's fight against slavery and Hull's more recent record as a fair trade city, this is a great time to welcome the International Development Secretary to the city to discuss trade, debt relief, climate change, human rights and a range of other development issues."
