Christmas message from Diana
Diana Johnson MP
21/12/15, 00:00
At the end of another busy year, I want to thank you for your help and support in 2015 and to wish you all the best for 2016.
In particular I want to thank the hundreds of people who got in touch in the last few weeks to give me their very detailed thoughts about whether the UK should participate in airstrikes in Syria. Deciding whether to launch military action is the most difficult decision an MP ever has to take and I was grateful that so many of you responded.
Hull has a number of challenges that I will continue to tackle head on in 2016: the deeply unfair Government cuts to Hull City Council's budgets; the lack of movement on the electrification of the Selby-Hull railway line and deep seated problems in the local NHS to name just three.
I will not stop fighting to make Hull an even better place to live and work.
As 2015 draws to a close however I want to end on a positive note and share with you a very joyful Christmas greeting - from the children of Bude Park Primary School in Bransholme.
