Channel crossings research trip

This week I led a Home Affairs Select Committee fact-finding mission to France to look at UK/French handling of dangerous Channel crossings.

We went to see the situation on the ground for ourselves, visiting transit hubs, security infrastructure and refugee sites.

We also sought to get a better understanding of the action taken by French authorities to address small boat crossings, and the use of UK funds to support these measures.
