Transport Secretary Chris Grayling was branded an "international embarrassment" as Health Secretary Matt Hancock was forced to stand in answering for him in the Commons.

Hull North MP Diana Johnson labelled the farcical situation as 'Hancock's Half Hour', as the Health Secretary answered an Urgent Question directed at the Transport Secretary about a £33m Brexit-related payment to Eurotunnel, settling a legal action over the award of Brexit contracts to ferry firms - including one which had no ships.

This was part of the shambolic preparations for a possible No Deal Brexit.
