Diana went to Hull's Queen's Gardens for the start of the new Hull Heart Walk and met some of the participants.
The Hearty Lives Hull project is helping make a difference to people’s lives; encouraging them to get active and improve their heart health.
Over the last year, more than 700 people have joined free or low cost sport and physical activity groups, including walking, jogging, netball, Zumba, swimming and cycling as part of Hull City Council and NHS Hull's Hearty Lives Hull project, in partnership with the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
In total, the council's Sports Development team have encouraged 10,000 people to take part in physical activity opportunities. Another 800 people have also taken part in dance groups and arts workshops throughout the year, exploring what their heart means to them and the importance of keeping it healthy.
